About Me

Anna

I was born in Brugg, Switzerland and moved to Gainesville, Florida in 1982. I began teaching at a local elementary school when I found myself being called to work in the health field. I worked as a nurse in the medical field for 25 years before being drawn to a new way of touching people and working on many levels to increase the quality of someone’s health.

Prior to attending massage school, I was in a car accident that resulted in a cervical whiplash, which led to chronic neck pain. Through massage therapy I found great relief, which restored my quality of life. This event was one of the motivating factors that led me to massage school and become a licensed massage therapist who has great empathy and skill especially in dealing with neck pain.

Besides the high level of skills that are learned in massage school, I am a Certified Medical Cupping Practitioner, trained in the technique of Himalayan Salt Stone massage, and a Certified Manual Lymphatic Drainage Therapist. I also incorporate Aromatherapy where applicable.
